Welcome to Sound Gardening - a web site to help Snohomish County gardeners find educational opportunities and gardening resources in our area.
In the Puget Sound region, we are blessed to live in one of the most beautiful areas of the world. The natural landscape is breathtaking in it's own right. Add to it the creative efforts of talented gardeners and you have something wonderful to behold! As we seek to enhance
our environment though, it is imperative that we do so in a way that is mindful of the impact our efforts are having on the natural world around us. Sustainable gardening techniques include judicious use of fertilizers and pesticides, awareness of our impact on local watersheds, and plant selection and management to prevent release of invasive species into natural areas.
This site promotes the use of sound gardening practices that are conducive to maintaining the health and well-being of our beloved Puget Sound region. The primary focus will be on consolidating in one location as many of the gardening-related classes and events in
Snohomish County as possible.
This site is maintained by Snohomish County Master Gardeners but is open to classes and events sponsored by any other entity that shares our vision of "Sound Gardening".
